Here is an intersting issue I ran across when upgrading a client from Office 2007 to Office 2010 as part of Office 365.  When we completed the upgrade and installed the CRM Outlook component, the ribbon bar was gone!  No Home, Send/Receive/ Folder etc.  This was realted to a bug in the upgrade process.  You’re going to have to edit the registry on this one.
  1. Close Outlook
  2. Go to Start-Run type in Regedit
  3. Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{2DF8D04C-5BFA-101B-BDE5-00AA0044DE52}
  4.  Right click on the 2.4 regkey and choose Export.  Save this export to your desktop for now so we have a backup.
  5. Now once that is backed up right click on the 2.4 regkey and choose delete.
  6. Launch Outlook
  7. Make sure its working, then delete the reg backup.

You should be good to go!
